Announcements
Christmas Holiday Party
        Our annual Christmas Holiday Party will be Saturday Dec 7th! Doors open at 10:30, lunch at 11:30 and pairs game at 1:00. There will be three sections: 0-99, 0-499 and Open. (Note that we need a minimum of five tables for each separate section, so we may have to combine sections if there are not enough registrations). Cost is $8 for members and $10 for non- members. There will be prizes for section winners, and door prizes too! Lunch will be potluck, so watch for sign-up sheets at the club. Space is limited to 25 tables, so pre-registration is required. Wednesday Afternoon 0 - 199 Section starting Dec. 4
        We are launching a new section of 0-199 pairs play on Wednesday afternoons starting December 4, and we hope you can join us. Beginners and seasoned veterans with fewer than 200 master points can now play on Tuesday 1:00-4:00, Friday morning 9:00-12:00, and now Wednesday afternoon 1:00-4:00. No partner required, we love to play matchmaker. If you would like to play in the Wednesday 199 game please email Rob MacKinnon (rmackinnonguelph@gmail.com) by 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. A quorum will be 3 tables. If you don't receive a cancellation message by Wednesday morning it is GAME ON. Hope to see you there!
Royal STaC Week Dec. 9th to 14th
         

        All sanctioned F2F games the week of Dec. 9th to 14th will be part of a Royal Sectional Tournament at the Club. Masterpoints will be 25% each gold/red/silver/black. There will be an extra charge of $2 for these games.
Tuesday Evening Game
        We now have a sanctioned pairs game on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30. Please email the director, Adrian Record (adrianrecord@gmail.com), by Monday evening if you are planning to play. Please also email Adrian if you need a partner. Hope to see you there!

Mentoring Games Thursday Afternoons
        Mentoring games will continue every other Thursday at 1:00 pm. If you are interested in playing, either as a Mentor or as a Mentee, please email Pat Fung (patfung47@gmail.com). We would like at least 3 tables to make the game viable.

        8 is Enough Swiss Teams will continue every second Thursday at 1:00 pm at the club.

Monthly Birthday Game
        There is now a monthly Birthday Game, to be held the second Saturday of every month at 1 pm. The game is open to all, but any member whose birthday is that month will have a free play. There is also a birthday cake and a picture of birthday people for the newsletter. Please mark your calendar and we look forward to seeing all the birthday people on the second Saturday of each month. No registration necessary. Please contact Sharon Barry for more information

                  Each September we collect membership fees which are an important factor in sustaining our club. Annual membership fee of $70 is due September 1st. You can pay by e-transfer to: GBCrevenue@gmail.com or by cheque payable to the Guelph Bridge Club. Cheques may be mailed to The Guelph Bridge Club c/o Paul Radigan, 95 Flaherty Drive, Guelph, ON N1K 1Y7. New members receive a complimentary name tag. Replacement tags are $15.00. Members pay a $8.00 fee to play games, whereas non-members pay $10.00 per game. A membership form is available online. Return to Live Bridge at the Club
         
Attendance at our face to face games has been growing and we're pleased to announce some things to make your return to the club even more enjoyable. We're now serving coffee and tea at the games and lots of special events are planned. We look forward to seeing more and more of you at the club.
The Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon games at the club start at 1:00 pm and there are 499er and Open sections for each. There is also a 199er game Tuesdays at 1 pm. To see the current schedule of games, please click here.
